What is it about the sound of gentle splashing water that instantly helps you relax? It’s no wonder then that we‘re asked to install water features into our gardens. And that’s great because we love water features too! The beauty of a water feature is that it seems to bring a garden to life. As well as providing sound, water has the wonderful property of reflecting light, enabling us to create dramatic lighting effects.
We can design a water feature that just babbles away or alternatively large fish ponds with waterfalls and fountains. We use all kinds of materials such as stainless steel, glass, slate and stone and also many more.
The safety aspects of having a water feature troubles a lot of people, especially when children are in and around.
Not to worry. A small sump can be sunk into a patio, lawn or flower bed; this is then covered with a thick galvanized metal mesh. The mesh is then covered with a stone Ball or monolith and pebbles. A pump is lowered into the sump which is then filled with water, this is then pumped and cascades over the water feature.
